Kristi Conrad
Kristi began her yoga journey at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis in 2001 but it wasn't until 2004 that yoga changed her life. While pregnant with her first child, she took the JAI Prenatal Yoga classes and developed a deeper connection with her body. She witnessed her belly and yoga practice grow... and grow. In class Kristi practiced techniques that prepared her mentally and physically to have an intentional labor and delivery, which included laboring during yoga class!
Prenatal yoga was again essential to Kristi's second pregnancy. The profound effects of yoga led to another amazing birthing experience. The desire to share her prenatal yoga experiences became a reality upon completing the JAI Prenatal Yoga training in April 2008.
Kristi is grateful to Jennifer Gray for planting the seed to take the giant leap and to those teachers who have shaped her as a student, a teacher, a mother and a woman: Jennifer Gray, Leah Starr, Tanya Boigenzahn Sowards, Amy Patee, Sarah Longacre, Emily MacLaury, Cori Levin, and especially her mom who paved the way as a Childbirth Educator. She has been overwhelmed by the support of her family and friends. Kristi would like to thank her biggest fan, her husband Sean, for walking beside her on her yoga journey!
3 Things that make Kristi happy (besides yoga!):
1) family time with husband and two children
2) being outside and near water
3) good food
