Yoga & the Arts Camp!
Little Pigeons (Ages 4-6) | Preteen Yoga Camp (Ages 9-12)

Let your budding yogis and yoginis discover balance, strength, and focus -- and most of all, find joy through yoga and art!

The Yoga Center of Minneapolis is offering three camps this summer that bring together the principles of yoga poses, breathing, and meditation, with art projects that can help children express themselves and have an awesome time.

Our counselors are excited not only to show children about the joy of yoga and arts, but also to give their campers some tools and insights to help them long after the last camp day. Yoga is a non-competitive, life-long practice of caring for ones body mind and spirit that helps children build personal practices that get them energized for school days and simmered down in the evenings.

All camps feature:
• Breathing and relaxation exercises
• Yoga poses galore, building body awareness, flexibility, and confidence
• Arts and crafts that range from Origami to drawing to making eyepillows
• Games that build a sense of cooperation and fun
• Dancing and music
• Delicious, healthy snacks
• Counselor curbside waiting for children during drop-off/pick-up at Minneapolis studio, so no parking required!
• One counselor for every 6 campers, for more individualized attention
• Special yoga presentation or artwork display for parents on the last day

12 children maximum per camp. Come dressed to move. All materials and equipment provided. Children of all skill levels welcome!

Choose your camp, and let your child's yoga journey begin!

About Valerie Jones Valerie Jones-Monahan is a Certified Healing Touch Therapist and also interprets Tarot Cards.

Since I was a young woman, I have had an unending passion for the theology of different religions. I've studied the subject of multiple religions ardently until I finished college and began working in the entertainment business.

During the 80's and 90's I helped with the inception and ownership of two very successful ventures. The first was an international tour merchandise business and the second, a localized catering company that facilitated all of the entertainment coming through the Twin Cities.

In 1996, after selling both businesses, I began my studies with Ron Moor as a Healing Touch Therapist and started my own practice in 1998. It made sense that I, ultimately, would return to my love of theology and working with people in a one to one basis.

I have always had a gift for understanding Tarot and its rich history, along with many other realms of interpretation. I believe our creator is looking for communication with us in the form we are most readily apt to understand.
