Dr. Rachel Allyn, Ph.D., L.P.
Dr. Rachel Allyn is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and certified Yoga Instructor. In 2005, she received her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco. After a decade of being an avid yogi, Dr. Allyn underwent formal yoga-teacher training with Dana Baptiste in Salt Lake City specializing in Vinyasa. She has worked as a psychologist in diverse settings ranging from a level-one trauma center at Hennepin County Medical Center to residential treatment facilities, middle schools, and research labs. Dr. Allyn’s teaching experience is also multi-faceted, including ski instruction in Lake Tahoe, yoga for recovery, and psychology professor for Westminster College in Utah. Her lifelong experience as a competitive athlete combined with her formal training as a psychologist and yoga instructor create the ultimate mind-body-spirit healing session tailored for your needs. Dr. Allyn also provides professional mentoring consultations for psychology students and professionals who wish to blend mental-health with yoga. Lena Beste L.Ac., Ma.O.M.
Lena is licensed as an Acupuncturist by the Minnesota Board of Medical
Practice and certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National
Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She
received her master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the Minnesota
College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health
Sciences University.
Lena performed a clinical rotation providing acupuncture at Woodwinds
Hospital as well as internships at The Aliveness Project treating patients
within the HIV/AIDS population, the Salvation Army’s free clinic, and the
Edith Davis Teaching Clinic.
Before her graduate training she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Gender
Studies and Human Sexuality from the University of Minnesota. She has
extensive training with the Sexual Violence Center in victim/survivor
advocacy and counseling. She has two years of work history as a Queer
Youth Advocate working with at-risk youth and has seven years
experience working administratively in women’s health at a prominent
OBGYN office in Minneapolis.
Sheli Ginsburg, Esthetician
Sheli is a licensed skincare therapist specializing in organic, chemical-free, and herbal skincare. With a unique focus on prenatal and postnatal skincare, she has created wonderful treatments that help ease changes in a woman's skin during and after her pregnancy. Sheli's endless quest for health, fitness and nutritional knowledge has moved her across the country and overseas. She has studied and worked under nutritionists, medical skincare professionals, and acupuncturists. In 2002, Sheli received her Esthetician license and continues to research skin health, hormones, and nutrition. She is also a certified Yoga Instructor at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis. Philip Hanson, CMT, CBT
Philip has been studying and practicing massage and bodywork for the last ten years. His journey began at Red Rocks Community College in Golden, CO. He spent two years studying Reiki, Healing Touch, Reflexology and Aromatherapy through a Holistic Nursing program. From there Philip moved to Santa Fe, NM where he enrolled in a 1,000 hour dual-certification program at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts for Massage and Polarity Therapy. This program also involved extensive training in cranial-sacral therapy and many forms of therapuetic massage. Philip's goal is to understand the client's needs and use an integrative approach to support their path to wellness.
Jennifer Johnson, Lic.Ac., MAOM
Jennifer is licensed both by the state of MN and nationally to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She received her Master's in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture in Boston. Jennifer is a professional member of the national infertility organization, RESOLVE, and she has had advanced training and specialized education in treating infertility and gynocology with Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Laura Lund, Esthetician
Laura has taught yoga at YCM since 2000 and is excited to bring all of her passions under one roof.
Her path as a master esthetician began twenty years ago at the Aveda Institute and has been supplemented with a Sivananda yoga teacher training, a B.S. in nutrition and a certification in therapeutic massage. Laura uses her years of education and wisdom to create unique therapies suited and tailor made for each individual, balancing beauty and wellness. All of her work is enhanced by her creativity and skill as an intuitive energy healer. She has an affinity for working with prenatal mamas and is committed to helping others realize the healing arts are not a luxury but a necessity for radiant health in today's society. Laura shines bright and is known for giving the best facial massage in town.

Lisa Nelson, MA, L.Ac, CIMT
Lisa is a licensed acupuncturist in Minnesota and a National Board Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture (NCCAOM). She brings nearly 10 years of experience in rehabilitation health care to her acupuncture practice. She has specialized in treating patients who are recovering from a sport or musculoskeletal injury and/or a persistent pain condition. Lisa integrates “hands-on” techniques (soft tissue work including releases to the fascia and involved muscles) and acupuncture to encourage changes in your body that initiate the healing process, decrease your experience of pain, and restore function. Lisa received her Masters of Acupuncture degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. She also completed a 300-hour acupuncture course series offered through McMaster’s University, Ontario, Canada. This training focused on various acupuncture techniques (including trigger/motor point needling and electro-stimulation) to improve performance and reduce pain related to musculoskeletal disorders of the neck, back, and extremities. Lisa is also a certified integrated manual therapist (CIMT) through Great Lakes Seminars.
Chris Pietrzak-Wegner
Chris is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, CHEK Institute Level I Holistic Lifestyle Coach, and Certified Metabolic Typing Advisor. Chris has trained professional hockey players for the past eleven years, coaching them in strength & conditioning as well as nutrition. Experience working with athletes and non-athletes alike, Chris is able to work with individuals in fine-tuning their health, fitness, and nutritional goals. Chris also specializes in working with individuals experiencing food sensitivities, intolerances, and allergies helping them to reconnect to their food and life through balanced nutrition. His philosophy in food education is to honor the individual holistically, providing tools for his clients to really listen to their bodies and fine tune their food choices and perspective on food so that they are empowered to create their own change.
Angie Viehman, Thai Yoga Bodyworker
Angie Viehman is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and a Thai Bodywork Practitioner. She received her Yoga training through the Yoga Center of Minneapolis. She received her Thai Bodywork training from Thai Yoga Bodywork's Practitioner Training Program and in Thailand from Master Therapist, Pichest Boonethame. Yoga and wellness have been a part of Angie's life for over 12 years and throughout that time she has had the opportunity to study with several amazing teachers, in the US, India and in Thailand. Angie is influenced by the styles of Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara and Restorative yoga. She incorporates principals from each into her classes and bodywork sessions as well as her experience as a professional modern dancer. She has dedicated her life to sharing the gifts of yoga and wellness while working to connect with the needs of each of her students and clients.
Kristin Wilk, Massage Therapist

Kristin graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington in 2008. Kristin went on to become Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and is currently a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She specializes in Trigger Point Therapy which emphasizes pressing contractile nodules set in taut bands of tendons, ligaments, muscles, fascia, etc; a phenomenological sensation effectually occurs in a location other than the point of contact. Kristin finds Trigger Point Therapy to be especially helpful in freeing joint-restrictions, reducing and/or eliminating chronic pain, as well as enhancing vitality. Kristin often combines Trigger Point Therapy with Cross-fiber friction to reduce scar tissue and promote softness and flexibility.
During a session, Kristin problem solves with the individual in order to assist in realizing long-term benefits."I find satisfaction when a client is able to find pain relief because I'm committed to improving the individual's well-being." Kristin is available for appointments Wednesdays 3-9pm, every other Saturday 10am-5:30pm, and every other Sunday 10am-6pm.
