Yoga Bonding® Class Description

What is Yoga Bonding®?
Yoga Bonding is a sequence of yoga postures for the Mom or Caregiver, which integrates Baby, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

In this 1 hour class you will spend time nurturing your baby while caring for yourself. Taught by Certified Yoga Bonding® Founder Lisa Bergly and Certified Yoga Bonding® teacher Shelly Shern.

What are the Benefits?
Physical contact is important for a young child's well-being. Babies need touch, sight and sound to assimilate trust and security, which are the two main components of self confidence. This self confidence, along with good health, come from a balance of body, mind and spirit. By going thru the Yoga Bonding Sequence regularly with baby, you can use it to establish routine, while building on babies growing knowledge of anticipation and repetition.

• Because Yoga Bonding Sequence is a physical contact, and it is mentally stimulating, it is also tiring. So, one of the benefits of a regular practice is that baby will sleep better and longer.
• Practice will also improve baby's digestion and assimilation, help to relieve fussy behavior and colic and aid in neuromuscular development.
• A regular practice that creates routine will also help to regulate baby's emotions. Spending time interacting with baby creates a spiritual connection and bond between you.
• When babies are happy, moms and caregivers are happy! By practicing the Yoga Bonding Sequence regularly, moms and caregivers will strengthen, stretch and tone their own bodies as well. • A regular practice will help to increasing your endurance, improve your digestion and regulate your hormones. When baby sleeps better and longer, so does their primary caregiver, YOU! This helps to reduce stress and lower anxiety.
• Spending time interacting with baby in Yoga Bonding lets you soak in all the wonders of the first year of life. Practicing the Yoga Bonding Sequence regularly will also help build parental confidence which will carry-over for many years to come.

What is a Yoga Bonding Class Like?
Throughout the Yoga Bonding® class, Lisa continues to remind you of the power of connecting emotionally as well as physically with Baby. When baby's needs are met, and when they feel safe and cared for, the foundation will be laid for a lifetime of trust and security.

The first year of life establishes the ground stone of the "earth element" energy that we need to sustain a long and happy life. This energy is what establishes our "survival programming", such as right diet, proper exercise, proper amount of sleep, and how to care for ourselves when we are ill.

Practicing Yoga Bonding® with your baby assists in baby's motor development and helps to develop emotional intelligence, which has been documented as being the key to having a solid personal life strategy and good coping skills.

Anyone and everyone can benefit from a regular yoga practice, but if you are a new Mom you have an even bigger reason to keep yourself healthy and strong, calm and balanced. When Mom's are calm and happy - so are their babies!

By practicing this Yoga Bonding® Sequence together, Mom/Caregiver and child will have some fun and enjoy laughing together while at the same time doing good for all involved.
