Instructor & Staff Information
Betsy Weiner
Betsy has been practicing yoga since 1992 when she was introduced to a Mysore Ashtanga class. She met Jennifer Gray, owner of the Yoga Center when she moved back to Minneapolis from Los Angeles. Jennifer encouraged her on her path of yoga study and Betsy became certified to teach Ashtanga yoga from David Swenson in 2001. Since then she has been fortunate enough to have studied with many wonderful teachers including Richard Freeman, Larry Schultz, Kim Schwartz, Gurmukh, Ana Forrest, Tias Little, Doug Swenson, and Baron Baptiste. She wants to give special thanks to her first teacher, John Robb of the Yoga Shala and to her mentor, Jennifer Gray.

Betsy has also completed training in Thai Yoga Bodywork Basics: Level 1 through Tanya Boigenzahn at the Yoga Center. She continues to attend workshops, conferences and Trainings/Yoga Study to enhance her own practice and what she brings to her students. Betsy is one of the mentors and teacher for the students of the 230 Yoga Study Program through the Yoga Center of Minneapolis.

Betsy's love of yoga is conveyed easily in her classes. Teaching mainly Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow, Betsy brings her passion for the practice, her humor, and sense of joy and love of music to all of her classes.
