Instructor & Staff Information
Holly Schramm
My first yoga class was eight years ago. During that class I remember thinking to myself, “I’m home”. The practice just felt so good. It also happened to be in Tulum, Mexico on a retreat led by my best friend from college (Elizabeth has a yoga/pilates studio in Denver). After a few years of sporadic practice I began a regular practice of Ashtanga yoga. I just fell in love with the Ashtanga breathing meditation, movement ritual and study of the eight limbs. Ashtau means eight in Sanskrit.

After practice a couple of years ago, I told my teacher that one day I would be doing what she does. Then a few months later my friend Elizabeth told me if I got my teaching certificate I could teach with her in Tulum. So now here I am, a yoga teacher. I received my certificate from the Yoga Center in March of 2008 and started teaching here the same month. I love teaching. Practicing and sharing yoga is a very spiritual experience for me.

I have always been involved in gross motor movement. I’m a kinetic learner at heart. I have a B.S. in dance education and I spent 15 years teaching and performing as a modern dancer. Like my mission as a modern dancer, I now aspire to teach yoga to as many people as I can if only to enrich their life experience.

I have three wonderful men at home (two boys and my husband Jeff). Jeff is a chiropractor. I also manage our clinic in St. Louis Park.br>
