Instructor & Staff Information
Kristina Clair
Kristina spent most of her early childhood exploring the capacity of her physical body as a competitive gymnast. She put that aside to nurture her mind and spirit, studying philosophy in college. The moment it all came together was the first time she stepped into a yoga class - she thought: Aha! This is what it was all for.

Kristina spent several years practicing Ashtanga dedicatedly with Eric Powell in Philadelphia. In June 2005 she moved to California, where she met Julie Rappaport, with whom she completed her first 200 hour teacher training. Kristina is forever grateful to Julie for teaching her, at last, how to breathe, the value of slowing down, and the importance of creating a nurturing practice based on the unique needs of each student.

Here in Minneapolis, Kristina has taken workshops with Darren Main, Dharma Mittra and David Swenson, as well as a teacher training with Manju Jois. She loves the ashtanga practice as long as it is practiced mindfully! Bringing together gentle and challenging, passive and dynamic, surrender and strength is what Kristina seeks through the breath both in her own practice and in her teaching.
