Instructor & Staff Information

Naomi Hollingsworth
Ever seeking deeper inspiration and knowledge and leading a life influenced by many spiritual paths, Yoga finally found Naomi through a friend who took her to a yoga class one night in March 2002. In no small way, it opened a whole new wonderful life for her and she has been a dedicated yogini ever since. She graduated from the 200-Hour Yoga Study program in 2005 and has had the pleasure of training with Larry Schulz, Rod Stryker, Paul Grilley, Dharma Mittra and Tanya Boigenzahn. The path of Yoga has taught Naomi to listen more to her body and spirit and the "needs" of them both, instead of listening to the mind and what the mind "wants". In both her personal practice and her teaching, Naomi strives to bring this lesson to life.

Naomi has been the Studio Manager, Registration Director and Yoga Exchange Coordinator for the Yoga Center of Minneapolis since April of 2005. She loves to meet and chat with all of the students who come in to the studios and is thankful to be such a intergral part of the center.

Naomi feels truly blessed to have had so many wonderful teachers on her path and is especially grateful to Tanya Boigenzahn, Dharma Mittra, all of her students and her husband Accolon for the great impact they have all had on her life and practice.

3 Things that make her happy:
1. Family, Family, Family (which includes her friends)
2. Designing and creating jewelry (more of an obsession)
3. Having her windows open at night (when its warm outside)

Favorite Poses:
1. Any arm balance
2. Any inversion
3. Baddha Parivritta Parsvakonasana
