230-Hour Teacher Training Programs
The Yoga Center of Minneapolis offers 230-hour Training Programs designed for any student wishing to deepen their knowledge of yoga and its philosophies or teach yoga to others. It is our utmost belief that yoga must be woven in to your daily life to fully progress as a student or teacher. We offer the program in Year-long and 9-month formats so that you may comfortably fit your studies in to your schedule, and so that you have time to fully absorb the information
offered. Both programs contain the same quality training. Yoga Study students will learn from a variety of experienced instructors from different backgrounds and yogic philosophies. We are a Yoga Alliance Registered School (RYS200).

Advanced Teacher Training Modules (for RYT-500 REGISTRATION):
If you have completed a 200-hour teacher training program that meets the Yoga Alliance RYT-200 standards and would like to continue your education and practice, the Advanced Program modules will allow you to register with Yoga Alliance at the RYT-500 level. Complete your advanced certification by participating in all 6 modules or longer -- OR take any module training a la carte as continuing education. Module topics include yoga therapeutics (emotional and physical), philosophy, anatomy, adjustments, and more.

Grading policies:
Students earn hours for participation under the guidelines of Yoga Alliance. Students receive a certificate of completion of the contact and non-contact hours they complete, sufficient to satisfy the Yoga Alliance RYT200 standards. Certificate of completion of a program means student has completed all required hours and curriculum content. Certificate is not necessarily an endorsement of teaching abilities. Per Yoga Alliance, no credit can be given for previous trainings toward a 230-hour program certification.
Student conduct policies:
YCM prohibits sexual harassment and sexual assault. Gross disrespect for persons, flouting of common standards of decency, behavior unbecoming of a yoga student, disruptive behavior that demonstrates contempt toward fellow students or the yoga community, theft, or destruction of studio property may result in dismissal from the program.
