Intro to Thai Yoga Bodywork - 3 hours
Saturday, January 12 | 1:00 - 4:00pm
Tanya Boigenzahn | MPLS Studio | $45

Based on the northern style of traditional Thai Massage (Nuad Boran), Thai Yoga Bodywork is a sacred and ancient healing treatment that integrates Yoga, Ayurveda, and Buddhist spiritual practice. Unique from other types of bodywork and massage, Thai Yoga Bodywork is also a form of Yoga Therapy that combines rhythmic massage, assisted Yoga poses, acupressure along energy meridians, healing energy work, and meditation.
Participants will explore:
• Thai Yoga Bodywork history, benefits, and contraindications
• How to give a 15-30 minute therapeutic sequence for upper back, neck, and shoulders
• Basic relaxation techniques to perform at the end of a sequence. Students will pair up with a partner to give and receive (yay!) as you learn the techniques. This workshop is also highly recommended for those planning on registering for the 30 hour Thai Yoga Basics Level I Intensive. All levels welcome. Register

Hands-on Teaching and Healing: An Adjustment Clinic - 4 hours
Saturday, March 29 | 1:00 - 5:00pm
Tanya Boigenzahn | MPLS Studio | $65

Prerequisite: For yoga teachers and students with 200 hours or more of training.
So you know how to teach a class and give basic adjustments, but how can you affect the quality of your students' poses just by using your hands? This workshop explores the realm of hands-on-healing as a tool for yoga teachers in a classroom setting. Learn to identify a student's needs by observing their movement, energy centers (chakras), and biofield. Not only will you learn intermediate and advanced adjustments, but also learn how to encourage your students to move into poses by understanding the energetics behind it all. Help avoid over-adjusting and learn to give just the right amount of assistance. Bring your pose adjustment requests! Register
